Meet the Team

Paul Watson - Director

Paul is approaching two decade's accounting experience having spent time at Chantrey Vellacott DFK, Grant Thornton and Clydesdale Bank prior to joining Passman Leonard.

His experiences include preparing and supervising accounts preparation and audits of various sized businesses from PLC’s to small independent businesses and charities. Paul also spent several years reviewing businesses on behalf of banks and other stakeholders, preparing independent business viability reviews including historic trading analysis, due diligence, cashflow and working capital analysis, forecast analysis and performing strategic options appraisals.

During his time at Clydesdale Bank Paul worked for the Strategic Business Services team, reviewing businesses with liquidity and solvency issues on behalf of the Bank, performing risk analysis and implementing debt recovery / loan restructuring strategies.

Paul is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and has a BEng (Hons) degree in Management with Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.

When not at work, Paul likes pool and squash, is a keen cyclist, and is a motorsports fanatic, having raced in karting and autograss leagues.

Neil Shah - Director

Neil takes great interest in working with small businesses and ensures they are aware of all regulatory gremlins. Neil is happy to sit down with you and explain these matters in a clear and understandable manner.

Neil also deals with personal tax matters and tax enquiries for a portfolio of clients that he deals with on a day to day basis.

He is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with many years experience of working in a practice, with an MSc (Hons) in Human Resource Management and a BSc (Econ) in Banking and Finance.

When not in work mode, Neil is a sports fanatic and also enjoys hiking in various remote destinations.

Puja Shah - Director

Puja is our specialist tax advisor, being both a Chartered Certified Accountant and also a Chartered Tax Advisor. She has been with the firm since 2002 having previously graduated from University with a BSc (Econ) in Banking and Finance.

Puja is responsible for personal tax, corporation tax and tax planning matters for a substantial portfolio of clients involved in a range of activities, and has significant experience in dealing with HMRC tax enquiries.

Hobbies include travelling, swimming and eating out.
